I am so excited to have found your website. I am a Celiac with about 15 additional food allergies (including beef, casein, soy, peanuts and wome weird ones like mustard, sunflower & sweet potatoes (?!), which means, alas, I cannot try this recipe).

Your website is beautifully designed and full of wonderful information. Exactly the kind of site/blog I have been planning to write myself.

In addition, I found the "sugar blues" very helpful.

Thank you for this site and keep up the fabulous work.

Congratulations! I voted for you and it's great that you won! My son was diagnosed and we went gfcfef May 19. Everyone in the house is doing so much better w/this lifestyle, I'm sure the rest of us are just undiagnosed.

I kept coming back here and thinking, "Yeah chocolate chip cookies that don't suck - whatever." "Peppermint chocolate chip cookies - sure *those* will really taste good" But I decided to take the plunge first w/the cc cookies. They were so good and so like "real" cookies I cried as took them out of the oven.

I served your banana spice cake at 3 different birthday parties - people who half-heartedly tried it went back for seconds and thirds. And now w/your peppermint chocolate chip cookies and pumpkin muffins people think I'm a genius! My baking is back in demand and received w/wide smiles and open mouths!

Thank you so much for bringing hope back to what was my breaking baking heart. I'm looking forward to the holiday season and our new traditions of gfcfef goodies thanks to your blog.

This recipe is perfect on so many levels. It has everything. Not only is it super-economical, but it pleases me; the Celiac in the family, my husband; the skeptic, our oldest daughter; the vegetarian and our youngest; the picky eater.

Tell Sparky we could really use one of those Whole Foods gift certificates. ;)

Keep posting!

Karina,
I am a therapist (& endurance triathlete) who is gluten free. I see a range of patients, from children with sensory or autism spectrum disorders to adults with multiple sclerosis...(or broken hips!). There is such a range of people who always ask me about being gluten free and how they might find out more due to the various benefits that have been noted with a variety of conditions much more broad than Celiac's. I always refer to your blogspot and they often come back delighted because they are able to find things to prepare with their families that they love. Beyond, that, many patients/parents remark about your comments and how they enjoy reading your site. I hope you continue to engage so many people and know how appreciated that you are in a growing community.
Take care,
Amy

I'm so glad you won! Thanks for all you do for those of us who can't eat everything. I can now cook one meal for everyone as my family will eat your recipes too, and do it with smiles on their faces :) I took the ALCAT test for the second time in 2 years. This list is worse than the last( I have immune troubles that cause this to happen to me repeatedly and my list changes) I have over 80 foods and spices I cannot eat at this time if I want to feel well. Very tricky, especially since I'm nursing a baby. You inspire me to keep trying my best, so thanks again.
